Spray tanning is a sunless tanning method where a fine mist containing dihydroxyacetone (DHA) is sprayed onto the body. DHA is a colorless sugar that reacts with the outer layer of skin, creating a temporary darkening effect, similar to a natural tan, without the harmful effects of UV exposure.
